Having unique natural conditions in Europe from which we mention the air ionization that allows you at an altitude of 168 meters to breath a thin air with the same characteristics of a 3000 meters. Roman soldiers that ruled Cerna Valley noticed the curative characteristics of the thermal waters that flows from the mountains. Soon here they built Therme Herculi dedicated to the powerful Roman god Hercules.

After hundred of years of lethargy in the 18th century the new Austrian administration of Banat region start building on Cerna Valley at the foothills of the rocky Domogled mountain. In no time the resort becomes the favorite place of the Austrian emperor Franz Joseph and his famous wife Empress Elisabeth "Sisi". 

The thermal spring in here are rich in sulfurous and its temperature varies from year to year according with the snowfall of the last winter. So, if there is a snowy year the water temperature is cold, but if there is a dry winter you will find real hot waters.
