From Tulcea you leave behind in the main city promenade with millennial history. Former Aegyssus, first mentioned in the 8th century BC, known to decay over time is related to the evolution and expansion of this wonderful Earth, water is the Danube delta.
At the end of a journey of 2860 kilometers Danube, "King River" as the Romans called it flows into the Black sea. Being the second largest river in Europe after the Volga, the main direction of flow of the Danube river is the West - East.
On its way the big river hits the Dobrogea region, an ancient part of Europe and so is forced to change direction north eventually finding a good place to head to the Black Sea.
With geological and geographical evolution as complex as it is questionable, Delta is the newest territory of Europe and is in constant expansion.

Initially, at the first bifurcation Danube divides into two main branches: Chilia - which flows north and Tulcea that continue south.
